Verifying Your Email

If you have recently added an email to your account or have changed your email, you will have to verify your email. Verification proves to the website that the email you provided is actually yours.

When logging in, you may see a page telling you to verify your email.

The actual steps for verifying your email will vary depending on your email provider.

Determining Your Email Provider

To determine your email provider, reference your email address. For example, your email address could be something similar to cavejohnson@gmail.com or cavejohnson@aol.com. Take note of everything after the @ character.

So if your email is cavejohnson@gmail.com, the important part is gmail.com, and if your email is cavejohnson@aol.com, the important part is aol.com.

Then navigate to the website that you took note of. If your email is cavejohnson@gmail.com, navigate to www.gmail.com. If your email is cavejohnson@aol.com, navigate to www.aol.com.
